Let's Go, Good Health, Let's Go!

We all know how much our lives could improve if we made some tweaks to our lifestyles.  Whether that looks like making cleaner eating choices, lowering booze intake, sleeping longer each night, drinking more water, or getting in some movement each day – or all of the above – contrary to popular belief, it doesn't take a massive overhaul to see and feel the difference pretty quickly.

It's not that living a wellness-focused life is difficult.  It just sometimes takes a bit of effort.  And for many people, because it takes effort, it just doesn't happen.  As someone with several chronic health issues, I totally understand that.

There are plenty of days when I struggle to get out of bed early to do my Morning Rituals because I've slept like garbage the night before (hello, pain body and hot flashes, I'm looking at you).

On those days, I'm easy with myself and really try to quash any negative self-talk – the shoulds – that might creep in when it comes to me not doing all the things I know will make my future self shine.  As with my yoga practice, I make modifications to accommodate my body's needs in that moment.

I also notice that when I've fallen off the wellness wagon for a while, my body and mind really pay a price.  My joints ache, my thoughts are foggy, I toss and turn instead of sleeping well, and my anxiety and even mild depression can show up.  But when I make wiser food choices, when I drink enough water, when I get enough sleep and movement, boy howdy I feel a lot closer to a superhero version of myself.

It's no wonder, really, why the diet industry rakes in millions and millions of dollars annually:  Because it's so much easier to pop a pill, drink a "specially-formulated" drink, or chew on a gummy that gives the promise of a new you without the effort.  We all know that's just not how it works.  If it were, everyone on the planet with access to those "miracle" products would be the pillar of good health.

Most of us tend to want the easy way out.  When we're not invested in the outcome, when we don't want to put forth the effort, no matter how small or basic, it's no wonder we're not getting the results we're searching for.

If you were to take a moment and reflect on your overall health, where are the areas that you would like to improve?

How inspired are you when it comes to taking care of yourself?

Where are the places you could make some shifts, and where are the areas that you're already shining?

Sometimes it's difficult to know where to begin.  It's easy to get overwhelmed and then just jump ship completely.  Who wants to add in more work when life can be soooo much already?

I've found that, in order to know what I want, it's really helpful to take a few minutes and take stock of where I am and where I'd like to be.

That's why I'm sharing with you my Wellness Clarity Guide to help you get started.

After you've checked out the guide, you'll have a better understanding of where you are versus where you want to be.  Then it'll be time to come up with a plan.  And that's where I come in.

What if I told you you don't have to make a ton of changes?  What if you had a roadmap to follow, at your own pace?  What if you had access to me for support and encouragement, your own personal wellness cheerleader, if you will?

It's actually easier than you think to make positive shifts in your health – especially since I've taken the guesswork out of it, demystifying the whole quest for wellness process for you.

I've compiled all of the tried and true techniques that have dramatically improved my own personal health and put them all into my Rituals For Longevity program
